Huntington High School Habitat Club Raised $80,000, Then Raised the Wall
For years, the student club at Huntington High School has shown up for Habitat Long Island by building, learning, and deepening their commitment to the Long Island community one project at a time.
This year, they made history: the high school club raised more than $80,000 to fund the construction of a Habitat home in Wyandanch. That’s the most money a school club has ever raised for Habitat Long Island.
“Their commitment, consistency, and passion have set a new standard for what student groups can accomplish,” said Diane Manders, CEO/Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Long Island.
We all came together to celebrate by raising a wall at the future home in Wyandanch. Thank you to the students, teachers, parents, and community partners for this amazing effort!
